Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to working with complex systems. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play an integral role in preventing breakdowns and malfunctions, and ensuring maximum productivity of our machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including malfunctions, breakdowns, and wear and tear.
3. Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
4. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment longevity and efficiency.
5. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment.
6. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
7. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, and provide reports as needed.
8. Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
9. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current on industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

1. One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical maintenance and industrial machinery.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and machinery.
8. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
9. Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to adhere to these standards at all times.
