Job Description

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the aerospace or precision manufacturing industries.
• Strong hands-on experience in dimensional inspection and quality control.
• In-depth knowledge of machining processes, tight-tolerance parts, and aerospace materials.
• Proficient with GD&T, blueprint reading, and various inspection equipment.
• Familiar with quality standards including AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102.
• Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, and SPC required.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP and QMS software is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform and oversee hands-on quality inspections, using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) to verify conformance to specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles during inspection and process validation.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.
• Generate and maintain work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Assist with first article inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
• Interface with customers and suppliers on quality and manufacturing-related topics as needed.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Utilize ERP systems for documentation, routing, and production tracking.
• Support PPAP submissions and ongoing SPC monitoring for process control.
